TMI --- Too Much Information (I'm loving it !!!)

My two years on Facebook and the gradual retreat (they say a disease has to be allowed almost the same time for reversal) have led to a lot many "revelations", the most striking being the inclination ( or should I say 'eagerness') of people to 'share' posts on anything that occupies their mind at that point in time.

So if someone has been advised 'meditation' by a concerned well-wisher, she will search all spiritual gurus on the net and 'share' their advices to all and sundry without bothering to imbibe any of these herself (as if 'sharing' would establish her as true master and calm all the mental noises for which meditation was advised).
Similarly, all festivals have become very 'inclusive'--- with Facebookers not even taking a bath ( forget about going to places of worship) but 'sharing' all the photographs to announce their devotion--- Ganesh Festival being the latest.

And then there are groups on specific fields (my interest being stock-markets) where there are hundred odd people, part of more than hundred groups, all 'sharing' and 'accumulating' posts from here and there and then creating such a big dossier of  information that no one has any inclination to process ---- afterall purpose is to 'share' not to 'process' bhai ----

And I know it for sure, even  Lao Tzu , although he said, “To attain knowledge, add things everyday. To attain wisdom, remove things every day,” would be hard pressed (for want of time) to become wise, and resign to attaining knowledge being bombarded with.
